Music in the Hall

St. George's Hall, Bewdley    

Music plays an important role at St. George's Hall, and whether it's an event run by the SGH team or it's being by the artist and their representatives you will be sure of a warm welcome and a great sound.

For music events run by the St. George's Hall team you can reserve and pay for your tickets in advance online or in person from the Hall café. We use a ticketless system and there is no need to print your ticket details as your details will be on a list at the door.

Please note that we use the Stripe Secure Card payment system to process online payments and have no access to your financial details.

Tom the Frop - 40th Anniversary

It is 40 years this year when Tom The Frop emerged from the chaos of the 70s and early 80s when we were a prog rock band playing the rock clubs in Birmingham.

From 1984, we went back to acoustic folk clubs, gradually adding a synthesiser, drum machine, electric guitars, then a real drummer, playing covers from five decades of popular music, supporting The Animals, Herman's Hermits and The Hollies to name but three - we've never stopped playing live since!

We even morphed into our theatre show "The Magical History Tour" telling the story of The Beatles - although now we offer our "Shabbey Road" Beatle night of our favourite Beatle songs.
So, we thought it would be good to invite you all to celebrate our 40 years with us at St George's Hall, Bewdley on Saturday 9th November!

We know there are an awful lot of you from Cleobury to Chaddesley and beyond, who came to see and party with us at numerous weddings, birthdays and dance nights during the 80s, 90s and 2000s!

We would be delighted to see you all again, as we even have some ex members of TTF - the irrepressible Tony Goodwin Jnr and Nick (Stick) Smith lining up with us again, as we dig up some of our past crowd favourites!

Rumour has it, that our famous hats will be coming out of their dusty cases too!
And the best thing about the evening? All profits will be split between St George's Hall (to keep it as a live venue for Bewdley) and Children With Cancer UK - a subject dear to the band's heart.
